711 Marine carbon capture and storage technologies were included in the list of green and low-carbon innovative technology productsTime£º2024-05-14 Recently, the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology released the list of "Shanghai's top Ten Green and low-carbon innovative technology Products" (2024), and the "Efficient Marine Carbon capture and storage Technology" project of China Shipbuilding 711 Institute was listed.
Marine carbon capture and storage technology is a new green and low-carbon technology developed by 711 Institute to solve the problem of greenhouse gas emissions in the shipping industry. This technology uses amine absorbent to selectively capture and separate CO2 in the exhaust gas of the ship, and compresses the enriched CO2 into liquid form for storage on board and transport to a specific location for storage or utilization. The system has the advantages of large emission reduction, easy modification, and good adaptability to ships, and the application scope covers the existing mainstream ocean-going ship types, which is of great significance to realize the carbon emission reduction of the entire shipping industry.
At present, the Marine carbon capture system developed by 711 has been successfully applied to 14,000TEU large container ships and completed the delivery. At the same time, 711 creatively formulated a complete technical system and operating system for Marine carbon dioxide offloading, and completed the delivery and absorption of liquid carbon dioxide. This marks the first time for ship carbon capture to achieve a full-process ecological closed loop of "carbon dioxide capture - liquefied storage - offshore-transit-reuse" in the world, becoming a milestone case in the ship carbon capture industry. The successful shortlisting of this project is a full affirmation of 711 Marine carbon capture and storage technology and products, and has also laid a more solid foundation for 711 to provide customers with high-quality and satisfactory products and services. |
