TECO 2030 and Umoe Mandal from Norway jointly design the world

Time£º2024-02-05     ¡¾Reserved¡¿

The ship will be designed with a multi-megawatt fuel cell system for full propulsion. The construction of the new vessel will be based on Umoe Mandal's proven Personnel transfer Vessel (CTV) sidewall Hovercraft (SES) technology, featuring an air cushion catamaran design with minimal impact on the surrounding environment, even in challenging and fragile Marine environments.

Typically used for the construction, maintenance and operation of offshore wind farms, the newly designed high-speed vessel will be a passenger vessel with a service speed of 35 knots, a range of at least 160 nautical miles and a capacity to carry 275 passengers.

TECO 2030 and partner Umoe Mandal have applied for approval-in-principle from the Norwegian Maritime Authority for the design of the world's first fuel cell high-speed vessel.
